Crowd Control



1. How to create a circle - in less than an hour

a. All form a line at back of room, hold hands and end people meet to create circle

2. How to find a partner - without leaving anyone out

a. From group of 2,3,4,.. by asking them to “put 3 elbows together. Put 4 knees together, 2 heads together”

3. How to group and regroup - without getting cooties



4. How to create teams – that are even and fair

a. Pair up partner and have one sit down. All the standing are one team and the seated another team



Station IDEAs



1. Newspaper Run – run with newspaper across chest with arms in air. Transfer paper to partner without touching paper. Partner runs pack

2. Tennis Ball Roll – one person in prone position with other rolling ball under others body. Prone person tries to catch ball before ball passes through

3. Skate Along – Using the Gliding discs, create a maze to skate through

4. Dice Throw – one person rolls dice and chooses activity that others do for number rolled

5. Surf Doggie – using half foam roller, practice “surfing”

6. Speed Shuffle – Suicide drill with partner using cups as cones

7. Yoga Doggy – Group chooses one pose to hold for the duration of station

8. Hop Tag – On hoppy balls, one person is “it” and tries to tag while all are hopping

9. Hopscotch/ Long Jump – using tape as markers

10. T-shirt Buddy – partners hold hands. One partner is wearing large shirt. Transfer shirt to other partner without letting go of hands

11. Tug of War – Standing on half foam rollers facing partner, tray to pull partner off roller

12. Down Hill ski – Hold on to a partners hand and jump over paper cup as high and as fast as you can







Partner Play

1. Partner Line – Have partners face each other and ask them to perform tasks and adding on tasks each turn

2. Rock/paper/scissors – A partner tag game. The winner of the game is the

tagger

3. True / False – Partners face each other and teacher calls out something that is either true or false. One partner is true and tries to tag if a true statement is stated and visa versa for false

5. Ham and Cheese – Each partner pair decide a pair of something that they will be - ham and cheese, salt and pepper, ect. They then go to opposite walls, close their eyes and call out their partner’s name – the new name that they just decided on. They try to listen and call at the same time to try to find their partner

6. Back to Back – sit back to back with your partner and without touching group, try to stand.

7. Cat/ Cow – same partner tag game as true false but partners lay down facing each other and teacher calls either cat or cow





Team Play and Crazy Games

1. 1,2 Pass the Shoe – sit in a circle, all take off their right shoes. Slap shoe on floor in front of you and yell 1, Lay back, slap shoe on floor over head and yell 2, Sit up and pass shoe under left foot to person on left while grabbing shoe from person on right. Repeat until you have your own shoe back

2. Bubble Gum – Unwrap the magic gum to play all sorts of great games. Space awareness, sticking a body part on the floor and moving all other body parts

3. Willy, Billy, Mo, and Joe – Three people holds hands in a circle. The person who is outside the circle try to tag one of the people in the circle while the other two people try to protect that person .

4. Elevator pushup – announce that there is a pizza delivery on floor 10 and you are on the ground floor. Lift up into the top of pushup position slowly going up one floor at a time by unbending the elbows

5. Getting to know you – Use the four walls to have the children run to when something that describes them is called. Example – One wall if you have a dog, another wall if you have a cat, another wall if you have lots of animals, and another wall if you have no pets.
